At Bright Stars CDC, our early childhood curriculum includes a comprehensive blend of academic and developmental activities tailored to each age group. For toddlers, this includes basic phonics, socialization practices, and motor skill development. We ensure a balanced approach that stimulates both cognitive and physical growth, preparing toddlers for more structured learning as they grow.

In preschool, your 3-year-old will explore basic literacy and numeracy—think recognizing simple words and starting to count. But it’s not all about academics; we place a strong emphasis on social skills like sharing and teamwork. Through structured play and interactive learning, we help each child develop these crucial skills in a fun, engaging environment.

The five key components of early childhood development are cognitive development, social and emotional development, speech and language development, fine and gross motor skills, and sensory awareness. Our programs are tailored to address each of these areas comprehensively, ensuring a well-rounded development for every child.

Typically, children begin to recognize some letters of the alphabet by around age 3. At our center, we introduce toddlers to the alphabet through interactive activities that make learning fun and engaging. By the time they reach preschool, many children are able to recognize and name all the letters.

Kids usually start writing by the age of 4 or 5. However, at Bright Stars CDC, we begin with pre-writing skills like drawing and scribbling in the toddler years to gradually build their writing readiness. This early start helps in developing the fine motor skills necessary for writing at a later stage.

A mix of physical play, interactive learning sessions, and consistent emotional support does wonders for brain development in toddlers. We’re dedicated to providing a nurturing environment where your child can explore and learn, fostering cognitive skills through activities that are as educational as they are fun.

Toddlers typically begin to learn and identify colors at around 18 months to 2 years. We weave color learning into everyday activities, turning it into a fun and natural part of their day. This approach not only helps them learn colors but also sharpens their observational skills, making learning a part of their play.
